In these lessons students will be able to:
 Understand the term “Bulk” properties of matter.
 Understand that the surface area to volume increases dramatically as we divide matter into smaller parts.
Big ideas
 The notions of the “Nano Scale” and the differences between the study of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
 Materials can behave very differently if we divide them into tiny particles.
