After these lessons students will be able to:
- Reflect on the teacher and peer critique of their draft assignments.
- Use positive feedback to critique the work of their peers.
- Giving and receiving critical feedback can be helpful for self-improvement.
- Critiquing the work of your peers encourages you to reflect on your own work.

Welcome students to this lesson and encourage several of the students to introduce themselves to the class.
Discussion – Teacher outlines the importance of critiquing the work of peers and describes how critique process will be managed over two lessons. Students view the YouTube clip by Rob Berger on the value of peer critique. Resources
Collaboration – Students take turns to present a brief overview of their research assignments so far. They finish by taking questions and reacting to their peers’ positive comments by further improving their presentations. Resources
Reflection – Students reflect on the comments of their peers.
Investigation – Students use the comments they receive to identify ways in which to improve their assignment further before final presentation in week 8.
